There are a lot of myths about sex, and it can be hard to know what's true and what's false.
Everyone has their fair share of sex myths. Unfortunately, though, some myths might persist well into adulthood, affecting the way we relate to our sexual lives.
The more you know about sex, the more choices you'll have when it comes to your personal sexual health.
This blog post debunk some of the most widespread misconceptions about sex:
1. Everyone is having sex.
It is not everyone that is having sex. Sexual activity is a personal choice, and just because you heard that people sex are having sex does not mean that everyone is having sex.
2. Real life sex is like pornography.
Things that happen in porn are not always true in real life sex, but watching a lot of porn might fool individuals into thinking they are real.
3. Pulling out before ejaculation is safe.
This is absolutely not true. Before a man ejaculates, he releases fluid from his penis. This fluid contains sperm and can very easily result in pregnancy.
4. Certain sex positions can prevent pregnancy.
The reality is that you can pregnant anywhere, any time and in any position.
There is no certain sexual positions that will protect you from pregnancy.
5. A penis needs to be large in order for your partner to have a satisfying sexual experience.
Good sex is about intimacy, great chemistry and doesn’t hinge on specific genitalia. While intercourse can lead to different kinds of orgasms, there is no promise that size will be a benefit.
