Khaby Lame was born in Senegal on March 9, 2000, and raised by a devoted Muslim family in a public housing complex in Chivasso, Italy, since the age of one. 

Khaby Lame is a Senegalese-born social media personality based in Italy. He is known for his TikTok videos in which he silently mocks overly complicated life hack videos. 

He began his TikTok journey with in March 2020 after losing his job as a factory worker in Italy, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Lame downloaded TikTokout of curiosity and started playing around with different styles. He started creating content on TikTok to get rid of his boredom. He danced, played games, and made short comedy bits to entertain friends. However, after months of content creation, he struck a chord with wordless critiques of strange life-hack video. 

In the beginning, only two people watched him, his father and his neighbor that’s it in one month. He got nine views and two subscribers, but he didn’t care he continued to make videos he did not talk so everyone understood he was funny so everyone laughed and he was simply so everyone shared.  Little by little he got more followers from every country in the world. 

Khaby personally said that he did not expect his videos to garner attention globally. He admits that the thing that kept his audience entertained was because of his seemingly emotionless facial expression.

As of the time of writing this blog post, Khaby Lame is the most-followed on TikToker.

Lame was an unemployed factory worker just two years ago. Now, he is making the world proud.
