DREAM KILLERS

Almost everyone has dreams but dreams killers stand as impediments or obstacles. Dream killers prevent dreams from becoming reality. Some dreams are never accomplished, not because they are too big or unattainable but as a result of dreams killers. Many a times, dreamers do back out after experiencing roadblocks.

Before his assassination in 1968, Martin Luther King Jr., an American religious leader and civil-rights campaigner, delivered a remarkable and inspiring speech titled "I Have a Dream." Despite the fact that he was assassinated, his dreams continue on. Killing a dreamer does not guarantee that his or her dreams will not be realized. I've witnessed dreams that lasted longer than the person. The following sections will go over some dream killers.

➢ FEAR

Fear of failure, fear of what others will say, fear of what the future holds, and fear of this and that have prevented the realization of many dreams. It keeps dreamers in their comfort zones by preventing them from taking necessary actions. Two acronyms of fear are False Evidence Appearing Real and Face Everything and Rise. Experiencing fear is not abnormal. Most successful people have experienced fear at some point in their lives. Fear causes false thoughts, and the only way to overcome fear is to face it.

➢ MEDIOCRITY

Settling for less than the best hinders dreams from coming true. Almost every dreamer knows what he or she wants to do, but obstacles or impediments along the way force them to settle for less or choose the easiest route or path. Take responsibility for your dreams and never settle for anything less life brings your way.

➢ SELF-DOUBT

"I wish I could realize my dreams, but I can't since they are unattainable." "I don't believe my dreams can save the world because I am not as smart as 'Mr. Smarter,' and "I don't believe my dreams can come true because I am not as fat as 'Mrs. Fat.'" Lack of self-confidence is referred to as self-doubt. It is a stumbling block in the path of dreamers. Many inventions have been made possible by people who believe in the beauty of their dreams. As a dreamer, if you don't believe in yourself and your dreams, it will be tough for the dreams to come true. Dreamers must overcome self-doubt in order for their ambitions to become a reality, inability to overcome self-doubt can lead to lifetime regrets.

PROCRASTINATION

There are a plethora of excuses that dreamers can use to put off responsibilities until later. People put things off for a variety of reasons, one of which is a lack of discipline. Procrastination has resulted in the loss of numerous possibilities. Dreamers have no excuses, no matter how rational they may appear to be. Never put off tasks that must be completed immediately in order for dreams to become a reality.

Finally, no matter how large or small your dreams are, they can come true. It's past time for you to stop succumbing to dream killers and start living your dreams.
