Richard grew up in the midst of oblivion. He didn't have someone to look up to. One day, the entire town was informed that the governor would be paying his village a courtesy visit.
The governor arrived in a brand-new vehicle. Richard had never seen an automobile until that day. He was awestruck. He decided then and there that he would be educated.
Where will the money for school fees come from? How can he persuade his parents to hunt for money from unlikely sources in order to pay his school fees? These were the thoughts that ran through Richard's mind.
He gathered his strength and went up to his parents. He told them about his desire to go to school. He realized that his efforts to persuade his parents to fund his studies failed.
As a result, he refused to eat for three days. His parents became concerned and did not want him to die of starvation. His parents realized that if they didn't let him go to school, he would starve to death. As a result, his parents grudgingly consented to send him to school.
Richard's school fees were paid with the income from his father's hard labor on the farm. His mother had to borrow money from relative and seek help from friends, foes, and family.
Richard made every penny worthwhile. As a result, when he finished his primary education, his parents were more encouraged to send him to secondary school.
He struggled in secondary school because he lacked the fundamental necessities of life that other classmates have in plenty. He loved his books with passion, they are his daily companions. His brilliance and excellence in his studies made him excel so much. He overcame many quandaries of poverty to pass out of the secondary school in flying colors.
Due to his family's low economic situation, he had many sad days after completing his secondary education.
Luckily, a distant relative stepped up in the midst of his gloomy and hopeless season and it seemed like a ray of hope was appearing. Richard's relative agreed to help him pay for his university studies. He packed his belongings and set out with his relative. He stayed there while weeks went by, then months and months. The relative appeared to be enjoying his free services and was no longer prepared to assist. He returned home but full of regrets because the relative did not keep to her words.
He had to teach for a short time in a local school, where he was able to save some money for his university studies. Two years later, he was accepted to a prestigious university.
He went to the university with one goal in mind: to study hard and graduate with honors. He had victory over the struggles of impoverished background which had walleyed him right from the cradle. After all the ordeal of his financial constraints, Richard eventually graduated with First Class Honors.
Irrespective of what you're going through right now. Please, don't give up! You will succeed!
